Sergio is the Chief Executive Officer of FPZ SpA, a company that aims at being the reference point for fluid movement technologies.
After his degree in engineering, he studies models for the optimization of the Supply Chain as a researcher for the Italian National Research Council. In 2007, at the age of 32, he recognises and seizes the opportunity of taking over the majority of FPZ shares (FPZ then being a family company which he held a small participation of). He sees the opportunity and is confident that he can help the company overcome a difficult period.
FPZ, headquartered in the greater Milan area, is currently the biggest company in the world with the sole focus on the design and production of side channel blowers. The consolidated turnover for 2016 is 25 million euro, and constantly growing year on year.
FPZ exports almost 80% of its production and has production plants in Italy and USA with sales offices in Mexico, Austria, Germany, France and UK. Furthermore, It also has joint ventures in Brasil and Turkey.
In 2012 FPZ started implementing lean management methodologies and since 2015 it’s been focused in developing and deploying its strategy according to the hoshin kanri principles.
